2017<\/h3>\n

Drugsong<\/em> was commissioned by Victory Hall Opera<\/a> and received its world premiere at Brooks Hall at the University of Virginia. VHO asked me to write and direct an original play inspired by Thomas Mann’s novella “Tristan.” The play incorporated a 30-minute excerpt of Wagner’s famous opera Tristan und Isolde<\/em> and featured five physical theatre actors, two opera singers, and a quintet. It premiered at UVA’s Brooks Hall in June of 2017.<\/p>\n
